A Google Business Profile checklist for Jeddah businesses
The practical steps that help a Jeddah business show accurate information in Google Maps and local search.
For clinics, restaurants, showrooms and service businesses, Google Maps is often where a customer decides who to call. A complete, accurate Google Business Profile is one of the most practical local marketing tasks you can do.
1. Get the basics exactly right
Use your real business name, not a keyword-stuffed version. Make sure your address, phone number and working hours match your website and other listings. Update hours for Ramadan, Eid and public holidays.
2. Choose the right categories
Your primary category has the most influence on which searches you appear for. Pick the most specific option that describes your main service, then add secondary categories only if they genuinely apply.
3. Add Arabic and English information
Many Jeddah customers search in Arabic. Make sure your description and services are clear to Arabic-speaking searchers, and that your website offers a proper Arabic experience they can land on.
4. Use real photos
Show your entrance, signage, interior and team. Real photos help customers recognise you when they arrive and build trust before they visit.
5. Ask for genuine reviews
Ask satisfied customers to leave a review, and reply to every review politely, including negative ones. Never buy reviews or offer incentives in exchange for positive ratings; it breaks Google's policies and can lead to suspension.
6. Keep it active
Post updates, add new services and answer questions. A maintained profile signals to customers that the business is active.
